The Confident Tricksters

Based in Doncaster and Sheffield, The Confident Tricksters played their first gig in Oct 1983 at the Glassmaker, Kirk Sandall, Doncaster (now The Glasshouse) and have been gigging ever since with a couple of years off in the early 2000s. With the original line-up of Richard Farthing, Chris Daffern and Steve Crowe, the Band play a broad mixture of songs. Basically if you want hit songs we got 'em (Rolling Stones to AC/DC with lots of bands in between The Kinks, The Beatles, The Jam, Oasis, The Who, The Eagles, Ian Dury and the Blockheads). If you want something off the beaten track we got these songs too...Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Nick Lowe, Dave Edmunds, The Coasters, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Lou Reed etc. One of the hardest gigging bands in the country, these days we will happily play as far North as Scarborough, as far South as Stamford and between Manchester and Hull. Richard also plays piano as well as guitar so we can play songs like Lady Madonna and Little Richard's Lucille.
